Buzz Schneider, who played for Johnson in three world championships tournaments and the 1976 Olympics, recalled him as a great teacher and motivator.
Schneider saw first-hand the meticulous side of Johnson, whose detailed notebooks, always at hand during practices and games, became legend.
Schneider later played for the Admirals and then was part of the 1980 Olympic gold-medal team.

Despite the mishap, Buzz Schneider -- one-third of the U.S. team’s famous Conehead line -- displayed the calm demeanor that made him an Olympic hero.
Billy Schneider, a former high school hockey standout at Roseville, was selected to portray his father following several auditions in Minnesota and California.
Buzz’s favorite “Miracle”; moment showed the softer side of his good friend Brooks, who served as an advisor on the movie.

There were tears in Buzz Schneider's eyes at a preview screening of the new Walt Disney Pictures movie "Miracle," which opened around the country last week.
It wasn't just that Schneider, now a nearly 50-year-old real estate developer in Minnesota, was a key man on the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team that, by knocking off the mighty Soviet Union en route to a gold medal, provided one of the greatest moments in sports history.
No, Schneider was not just reliving memories about what will forever be known as the "Miracle on Ice.

 Marbles - Expo
Robert Schneider of Apples (In Stereo) says, " I wanted to do something that sounded like Gary Numan crossed with ELO." Expo, under his side project name Marbles, is a quirky and brilliant masterpiece of pure pop which achieves just what he proclaims, mostly.
Marbles` debut, Expo, lives up to Schneider`s admitted goal of trying to cross Gary Numan with ELO, especially on the 10-track, 25-minute disc`s opener, "Circuit" and the lilting "When You Open," jammed with Vocoder back-ups and mechanical percussion and synthesizer buzz.
But Schneider can hardly suppress the rush of his Apples tree, and that potent component of his muse bubbles up through the `80s influence on the Cars-like "Out of Zone" and "Cruel Sound," while the title track sounds like intermission music at an `80s drive-in theater.

LAS VEGAS - There was a buzz in the air, something faint and mysterious, as Lennox Lewis and Hasim Rahman came bounding out from their corners for the fourth round.
These attacks, and an uncharacteristic Ali-like dance in Lewis' movements, had excited the crowd and brought the movie stars and other big shots near the ring to their feet.
Then, somewhere between the 88th and 89th second of the fourth round, Lennox Lewis unleashed what his trainer would later call "one of the most beautifully executed combinations in the history of boxing" and the buzz became the sound of a Rock cracking.

 SCREEN IT! ARTISTIC REVIEW: MIRACLE
Since that's a predicament faced by most other sports films that feature large numbers of players - and thus cast members - the fault obviously lies with the filmmakers and their handling of the material.
Despite such problems, those embodying the characters - including Eddie Cahill (making his feature debut) and Patrick O'Brien Demsey (ditto) - are generally good in their roles, while newcomer Billy Schneider actually plays the role of his father, Buzz.
The story, of course, is just as much or more about the coach, and Russell ("Dark Blue," "Vanilla Sky") delivers a credible performance and then some.
