  Route 15 Study Executive Summary
Route 15 is a diverse corridor that presents a myriad of issues pertaining to the development of possible transportation improvement concepts.
The second concept is to bypass the village of Lafayette from Route 94 to Route 206.
Regardless of the alignment chosen south of Route 94, a bypass from the junction at 15/94 to 206 is independent of the concept between 181 and 94.

Originally, the route came into St. Louis via Edwardsville, Mitchell, down what is now ILL 203 to Veterans Bridge and later across the Chain of Rocks Bridge, but later moved south and the original route was called Bypass 66.
Route 50 still exists and goes north toward Washington, so don't fall under the spell of the old road appearance into thinking that is old Route 66.
Route 66 can be reached on the east side of Flagstaff from the interstate and you follow the old road on the north side of the railroad tracks.

Bypass (road) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A bypass is a road or highway that avoids or "bypasses" a built-up area, town, or village, to let through traffic flow without interference from local traffic, to reduce congestion in the built-up area, and to improve road safety.
In the USA, bypass routes are a type of bannered highway used on an alternative routing of a highway around a town when the main route of the highway goes through the town.
Bypass routes are less common than business routes.

 Brookfield Bypass
Opposition for the shortened highway (and support for the original routing to the New Milford line) by local residents and politicians and Governor John Rowland pressured ConnDOT, the EPA, and the Army Corps of Engineers to approve the original routing in early 2001.
The DOT misinterpreted a letter from the COE which said the "proposed route was feasible" as it being "approved." In 2000, the EPA expressed concerns over wetlends in the vicinity of the bypass' route, which prompted the DOT to scale back their proposals.
Contrary to the modifications proposed in 2000, the most recent alternative will route the bypass to the east of the quarry and pond, but remain west of the residential areas to the east.

Schorr said Tucson is the only city along the I-10 route from California to Florida that does not have a bypass option for trucks or those who don't intend to get off the highway in the city.
He wants the Arizona Department of Transportation to study the feasibility of a bypass that would connect to I-10 somewhere near Willcox, run north of Tucson and connect to I-10 west of Phoenix.
The bypass could be limited to just heavy trucks, or trucks and interstate traffic and Schorr said that would ease congestion without requiring more I-10 widening projects like the one that will soon begin in Tucson.

Even with the additional costs of using LR-2 tankers or the construction of a $1 billion Bosporus bypass, the Baku-Supsa route is considerably cheaper than Baku-Ceyhan, though a bypass route is cheaper than a direct Baku-Ceyhan line.
Overland pipeline bypass options that have been considered run from the Turkish Black Sea ports of Samsun or Zonguldak to Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.
Considering the economic advantages of the other routes, Baku-Ceyhan does not appear to be a legitimate economic option to avoid the Bosporus.
