images, texts and the inscriptions themselves
A computerised corpus of all the Inscriptions of Bithynia and Pontus is presently in preparation, sponsored by the "Schwerpunktprogramm" of the "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" (DFG) for "Historische Grundlagenforschung im antiken Kleinasien - Epigraphik, Numismatik und Geographie".
The arrangement of the list is similar to the geographic distribution displayed in the Corpus Inscriptionum Graecarum: After Europe you will find Asia Minor, the Near East and Africa, followed by inscriptions of unknown origin preserved in museums.
The entire database (texts, bibliography, and photographs) is being gradually made available via the Internet (33,000 texts plus images of inscriptions from CIL VI 8,2 and CIL VI 8,3, as of 29 September 2002).

ICRA Rating Rational - Coal India Limited
While CIL (the holding company) is attempting to increase the 'arms length' with its subsidiaries, particularly the loss-making ones, the ability of the company to do so will have a bearing on its liquidity position.
While CIL faces competition from imported coal in coastal areas, imports, to an extent, are limited by factors such as volatility in international coal price, ocean freight and foreign exchange risk, inadequate handling facilities at ports and the lack of adequate inland transportation infrastructure (particularly railways).
However, the fact that CIL is a Central Government PSU catering largely to the politically sensitive utility sector somewhat limits its ability to take decisions on a purely commercial basis as has been witnessed in the past when price and cost increases have not been synchronised, keeping the politically sensitive utility factor in mind.

SSRN-A Theory of Customary International Law by Jack Goldsmith, Eric Posner
States do not comply with norms of CIL because of a sense of moral or legal obligation; rather, their compliance and the norms themselves emerge from the states' pursuit of self interested policies on the international stage.
We find that most purported rules of CIL reflect pure coincidence of interest, rather than international cooperation, and that the rest are best explained as the outcome of repeated bilateral prisoner's dilemmas or coercion analogous to the behavior of the monopolist in predatory pricing games.
We conclude by examining the implications of our analysis for understanding the role of CIL in domestic constitutional arrangements, the function of international treaties and international organizations, and the status of modern international human rights law.

The Victorinus who shared the Consulship in 267 was the future Gallic Emperor and the event is recorded on an inscription from San Miguel de Confiño in northern Spain (CIL II 5736, König 58).
This monument, reused during the Gallic Empire but bearing an older inscription from the reign of Severus Alexander, bears the names of Postumus and Honoratianus as Consul, partially erased (damnato memoriae?), on the bottom line.
Such was the importance of the title that when the Gallic Empire was created following the revolt of Postumus during 260 AD a separate line of Consulships was conferred and it is these that I want to set down here.
