CTE educators must also form partnerships with employers and postsecondary institutions in order for programs to be truly successful, she said.

 CTE, Inc Website
It is the mission of CTE to counter basic causes of poverty in the Stamford, Darien and Greenwich communities by making available services and activities which help reduce the physical, economic and psychological barriers to self-sufficiency for low income individuals, families and communities, giving them the ability to rise out of poverty.
In essence, CTE will fill the basic social and physical need for life sustenance (food, clothing, shelter) and the self-actualization need of empowerment (education, jobs, etc.).
It is this ability to respond to the needs of the poor in a holistic manner, that is, looking at the total range of needs and addressing both behavioral and systemic barriers, that allows CTE to fulfill its legislatively mandated mission, and as such makes it unique among agencies serving the poor.

MnSCU GrantsPlus Perkins - Perkins III, Index
Current issues with this crosswalk include the lack of sufficient six-digit breakdown of career programs that more accurately define whether specific programs in certain occupational categories are nontradtional to males or females.
The following charts, CIP 2000 and the 2001 CIP/NTC Crosswalk, are provided to help you determine whether your CTE programs are nontraditonal to males or females.
Because the Crosswalk only contains CTE occupations at the two-year college level and does not include occupations at the four-year college level, there are programs listed in the CIP 2000 table which are not included the DOE Crosswalk.
