In the contest for Chief Justice there were only three options: a vote for Thomas J. Moyer, the incumbent; a vote for C. Ellen Connally, the challenger; or a vote for none (or both) of these, which amounts to no vote at all.
They ask how C. Ellen Connally, a little-known, underfunded, African-American municipal judge from Cleveland, running for Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court against a well-financed incumbent, could receive more votes than John Kerry in 12 counties.
Connally actually won this precinct with 301 votes to 280 for Moyer, but Kerry was trounced by Bush, 479 to 204.

The reason democratic Supreme Court candidate, C. Ellen Connally (a black) won more votes than Kerry in some rural southern Ohio counties is easy to understand.
One other thing the "Rev. Jesse" has noted that there were more votes for the Dem Ohio supreme court justice candidate C. Ellen Connally (statewide) than Kerry as proof of voter fraud.
The Connally over Kerry vote advantage correlates nicely with he total percentage of Kerry votes in each Ohio county -- i.e., the smaller the Kerry total precentage (vs. Bush) the bigger the Connally margin over Kerry.
