  C. M. Burns
Burns still sometimes imagines that such activity is a socially acceptable amusement for the well-to-do.
Burns now lives in a mansion on an immense estate called Burns Manor located at the corner of Croesus and Mammon streets in Springfield.
The character of C. Burns partially is patterned after Howard Hughes (for example, wearing Kleenex boxes on his feet), with notable similarities to William Randolph Hearst (indirectly through Citizen Kane), Scrooge McDuck, and others.

 John Burns
Burns, who was now earning £5,000 a year, was bitterly attacked in the House of Commons by old comrades such as Fred Jowett, when he argued for no outdoor relief to be given to the poor.
Burns was reminded how he had been a strong critic of the Poor Law and the workhouse system when he had been a member of the Social Democratic Federation.
Burns was opposed to Britain becoming involved in a European conflict and along with John Morley and Charles Trevelyan, resigned from the government.

Burns caused by flames or hot grease usually require medical attention as well, especially if the victim is a child or an elderly person.
For minor burns or burns with broken blisters that are not severe enough to require medical attention, wash the burned area with soap and water, keep it clean and apply an antibiotic ointment.
For a victim of severe burns, lay him or her down unless he or she is having trouble breathing.

 Minor Burns
Burns can be thermal (from extremes of heat or cold), chemical (such as acid), or radiant (sunburn, x-rays or artificial ultraviolet rays from a tanning booth).
For the classic sun burn (first degree burn) with redness, slight swelling, and mild pain, home treatment is safe and works well for up to 50% of the body surface.
Since nearly all burns are accidental, prevention is mostly a matter of basic safety --- avoiding extreme heat, caustic chemicals, etc. But there is one type of burn that people practically seek out: sunburn.

 Charles Burns
Burns is the author of Black Hole, the acknowledged masterpiece of the form that Fantagraphics serialized through the 1990s.
Steeped in a "sci-fi-noir" aesthetic informed by Burns' steadily childhood diet of B-movies and comic books, but with a sophisticated sense of humor that is often as disturbing as it is funny, El Borbah is comics as its most entertaining.
Burns' pen and masterful storytelling ability elicits the paranoia that envelopes the lives of these teens living in mid-70s Seattle.

Ross Perot vs. Montgomery Burns @ WWWF Grudge Match
Burns can easily be moved into the election in [Dole's] place (we know Burns is a Republican) and there is no fear of scandal breaking because there is only a week until the election.
Burns may have a roomful of treasures and Perot may have a few billion stashed behind his ears, but their combined fortunes wouldn't fill the pool at their local country club, much less a Swimming Vault (tm).
Burns, realizing that the only way to soften his image as evil corporate overlord is to choose--as Perot did--a washed-up 70s TV nutcase as running mate, ejects Smithers from the ticket, losing both the Gay Vote (tm) and the heretofore underreported sycophant vote.
