A particular growth area is the use of computer-assisted assessment (CAA) for the diagnostic, formative and summative assessment of undergraduates.
According to the survey, CAA is predominantly used in computing, sciences and maths; however, there is evidence of increased take-up in social sciences and humanities courses.

 Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
The CAA is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) (new window) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) (new window) as the only agency to accredit graduate education programs that provide entry-level professional preparation with a major emphasis in audiology and/or speech-language pathology.
There are four status classifications of accreditation utilized by the CAA, based on the evaluation of the extent to which an education program complies with the Standards for Accreditation.
The CAA awards initial accreditation for a maximum of 5 years, which is subject to annual review.

CAA publishes three scholarly journals in art and art history, two in print and one online, as well as a bimonthly newsletter.
From this fund, CAA awards grants to support the publication of book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits, but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy.
The CAA Publication Grant is a single annual award of $23,000 to a publisher for one book, either under contract or near contract, on a topic in art, art history, art theory or criticism, visual studies, or a related field, and must make a significant original contribution to art scholarship and research.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which is a public corporation, was established by Parliament in 1972 as an independent specialist aviation regulator and provider of air traffic services.
Following the separation of National Air Traffic Services from the CAA in 2001, the CAA is now the UK’s independent aviation regulator, with all civil aviation regulatory functions (economic regulation, airspace policy, safety regulation and consumer protection) integrated within a single specialist body.
The UK Government requires that the CAA’s costs are met entirely from its charges on those whom it regulates.
