CAMRA is organised into local branches run by volunteers; you have reached the home page of the York branch, Yorkshire's oldest.
NBSS Co-ordinator and CAMRA Director Brett Laniosh says it is the simplest way for CAMRA members to give feedback on the state of beer in British pubs as the website can be accessed at any time.
CAMRA believes that if you pay for a pint of beer then that is what you should get - a full pint of liquid.

New figures from CAMRA show that a whopping 26.6% of pints served in pubs contain less than 95% beer.

CAMRa is the largest steerable meteorological radar in the world, located at Chilbolton Observatory in Hampshire.

Reading CAMRA are against this proposal and feel it is unreasonable to force pubs which have no history of trouble, and who only occasionally stay open after 11pm, to use the plastic vessels.
Reading CAMRA are not against the use of plastic or pubs which choose to use it, but we are against the proposal to force it.

 CAMRA. Campaign for Real Ale. Erewash Valley.
CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) in the Erewash Valley area started in May 1996, when a small group of people who enjoy a drop of real ale and socialising, met with other like-minded people at the Good Beer Guide listed pub 'The Dewdrop' on Station Street in Ilkeston.
We originated as a sub-branch of Nottingham CAMRA until May 2000 when we decided to try and make it on our own.
We venture out as much as possible, either to meetings, or on survey crawls within our branch area, to local beer festivals and mini-bus tours of the surrounding area and even further afield.

 ELY ON-LINE - REAL ALE - CAMRA
Ely CAMRA is a sub branch of Cambridge.
As branches go, we are quite a dynamic little group frequently arranging brewery trips, social trips etc. we always, rather sensibly, arrange a mini bus for branch meetings out of Ely and have just appointed, at last month's branch elections, a bottom-kicking new committee.
There is no camra meeting in December, it is replaced by a Christmas Social at the"fat Cat" in Norwich.

 About Cider - CAMRA
It is well worth you tracking down some real ciders and perries and more and more people are discovering for themselves how deliciously mellow, aromatic and intoxicating the flavours of naturally produced real cider can be.
As a result of the difficulties facing real cider, CAMRA set up a cider and perry committee within CAMRA to inform consumers about the choice of real cider and perry available and to encourage the producers to continue production.
The competition for the Cider & Perry Pub of the Year closed on the 17.4.07 and Judging is currently underway.
