 Radio Drama, English-Language
This CBC network of major national and regional drama series was the primary showcase for the best of Canadian and world drama, as well as a training ground for many Canadian theatre professionals.
A significant phenomenon that began in the mid-1990s is the co-operation of CBC Radio in the area of radio drama with the radio broadcasters of other English-language nations.
Thus experimental radio drama, such as that currently being created in the Acoustic Art Studio of the WDR network in Germany and elsewhere (with techniques inspired by Glenn GOULD's drama-music-documentaries broadcast by CBC at the turn of the 1970s), has not found a place in CBC radio-drama schedules to the present.

CBC Radio 3 Re-evaluates Its Reach : Soul Shine Magazine
Not so much an actual national radio station as a show that crops up on CBC Radio 2 every once in a while, Radio 3 is getting down to serious business, reorganizing and expanding its content.
Plans for Radio 3’s new life include combining all the websites into one, to be located at www.cbcradio3.com; and sadly, the discontinuation of the brilliant online magazine (which just hit the 100th edition mark) so more focus can be put on new ventures.
If there is CBC Radio 3 content 24/7, it means the end of constantly trying to find a decent radio station that plays more than two good songs in a row; twisting radio dials can give a person very painful hand cramps.
