CBC Radio One - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beginning in 1944, the CBC operated two English language radio services, the original network became the Trans-Canada Network and a new network, the Dominion Network was established with CJBC in Toronto as its flagship.
In the 1990s, many of the CBC's AM stations moved to FM, meaning that the old distinction between the AM "Radio" network and the FM "Stereo" network was no longer accurate.
CBC Radio One promotional spots are generally announced by Canadian actress Shauna MacDonald, also known as "Promo Girl", and typically end with one of two slogans: either "Because sometimes a picture needs a thousand words" or "Hear the big picture".

In a controversial decision, the CBC was awarded the 99.1 frequency over Milestone Radio, who had applied to open an urban music station, which would have been the first station operating under that format in Canada, to serve the city's large fl community.

My complaint is that both groups, but especially CBC Radio in Vancouver, have engaged in a deliberate attempt to silence that part of the Canadian population that opposes immigration.
If the CBC group had been there 100 years ago and had been practising the same tactics that they are practising in Vancouver and several other areas of Canada today, they would have cheerled the hanging of Riel and the punishment of his assistants.
Lastly, CBC Radio One in Vancouver, CBC television in Vancouver and CBC in general have given almost unfettered access to the proponents of immigration.
