I would especially like to thank Don for his help in answering some questions I had about the group's album, particularly the vexing question of exactly which songs were added to the original album at the request of Bruce Lundvall, President of CBS Records.
She was instrumental in persuading Randy to join Orchestra Luna that summer.
She took the lead on "Fay Wray," lending genuine emotion to the song, and also contributed narration to "Love Is Not Enough," which is perhaps my favorite song from the album.

 Maryland Symphony Orchestra
The Maryland Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Elizabeth Schulze open the 24th season on October 15 at 8 pm and October 16 at 3 pm at the historic Maryland Theater in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland.
Pine as a “Chicagoan of the Year” and Today’s Chicago Woman magazine selected her as a “Woman of the Year.” She was featured on CBS Sunday Morning and has twice appeared on NBC’s Today.
Led by Music Director and Conductor Elizabeth Schulze, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra is the area’s premiere professional orchestra, dedicated to providing musical performances and programs that educate and entertain while enhancing the cultural environment of Western Maryland and the surrounding region.

 BHS: CBS Symphony Orchestra
Throughout much of the 1940s the Columbia Symphony Orchestra was heard as the off-season summer replacement for the Sunday afternoon broadcasts of the New York Philharmonic.
From his hiring at the Columbia Broadcasting System in 1933 through 1950, Bernard Herrmann's name was known to millions of radio listeners primarily as conductor of the Columbia Broadcasting System Symphony Orchestra.
During the main part of the season, the orchestra would be broadcast at various times, usually as part of an educational series such as "Gateway to Music" or "The American School of the Air" (Sometimes these two series overlapped).

 Toronto Symphony Orchestra
The following year the New Symphony Orchestra was formed, presenting its first concert in MASSEY HALL on 23 April 1923.
In 1927 its name was changed to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, becoming the Toronto Symphony in 1967, and changing back to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 1994.
In 1974 the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra was formed, with Maestro Feldbrill as its first conductor.

Former VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth will be performing with The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra at this year's "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" Independence Day concert in Boston, to be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade via the CBS television network.
Roth is scheduled to perform his hits "California Girls" and "Jump" with the Boston Pops under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart.
Pops conductor Lockhart told the Boston Globe that it "just didn't come together, but Steve Tyler and I were talking, and we want to make it happen at some point."

In 1939, he was in the Isham Jones orchestra, after which he joined the Les Brown band and Gene Krupa in the mid-'40s, when he joined the CBS network staff.
In 1980, he recorded a series of duets with Lee Konitz (Heroes and Anti-Heroes), and, in 1984, his orchestra was hired to play Monday nights at a New York club, Sweet Basil.
During the height of the big band era, orchestras would often hire arrangers to adapt a previously written song to accommodate the talent level and style of that band.

Before joining the CBS Orchestra, Malone contributed approximately 25 arrangements to the "Late Show with David Letterman".
In 1993, Malone reunited with SNL veterans Paul Schaffer, keyboards, and Will Lee, bass, in the CBS Orchestra, now in its eighth year as house band for The Late Show with David Letterman.
Malone has performed with such acts as James Brown, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, and Diana Ross, as well as playing network themes on shows such as "CBS This Morning," "Murder She Wrote," and the 1992 Olympics theme on CBS.
