	CFMT-TV - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		In 1993, CFMT installed repeat transmitters in London and Ottawa, on channels 69 and 60, respectively.
		In 1980, CFMT made a bold move by being one of the first stations in Canada to go to 24-hour a day 7 day a week broadcasting with the introduction of The All-Night Show, starring Toronto comedian Chas Lawther, broadcast generally between midnight and 6 AM.
		CFMT's programming for South Asian and African communities moved to CJMT, while CFMT kept programming targeted to European and Latin American groups.

	NIH: New Improved Multiculturalism
		CFMT's call letters stand for Canada's First Multicultural Television (Johnny Lombardi must have been wondering just what he'd been producing for years).
		Speakers of non-official languages would be able to enjoy service in their own languages which they couldn't have before, except for all those programs produced by Johnny Lombardi and other people which had been around for years.
		Anyway, as a multicultural outlet CFMT quickly spread on cable throughout Ontario, as the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) used its mandate to promote multiculturalism.

		On Dec. 7, 1994, when I phoned CFMT to complain, they told me I had to write to Fox in California.
		I was not given CFMT's address to write to them directly and wrote to the CBSC after numerous phone calls trying to find out who to write to.
		The complainant also pointed out that she had written to the CBC, which aired the series in the Toronto area at 5 p.m., namely, at an hour when children might be expected to be watching television after their return from school.

		I did catch the warning from whoever it was (KLIC I guess it was), but I noticed that AMAT hardly flinched, so perhaps it isn't a serious industrywide problem.
		Anyway, I would only buy CFMT on a breakout to a new high, and if that occurred it would seem to tell me that CFMT has escaped the problems of KLIC.
		Seems like Gertrude Stein said something like "A breakout is a breakout is a breakout..." or something along those lines (maybe it was roses she was talking about).

		The PSA makes the point that conflict in families has a serious and long-term impact on children.
