The Superhero Hype! Boards - The Thing: Makeup, Puppet, Prosthetic, Cgi?
07-16-2004 01:10 PM If the budget is really below 100 millions, I think they´ll make a prosthetic suit, like Hellboy - which I actually find a cool idea - and CGI the more difficult action scenes, like a high jump.
I heard a rumor that Chiklis is going to be wearing a suit, and some prosthetics...and that scares me. I was just wondering if there was something else I missed that said that The Thing would only be CGI.
I remember reading somewhere that originally they had problems with the budget, because whenever The Thing was on screen, he would be CGI.

Wilma requires: Perl 5 (tested with 5.004_03) CGI.pm (part of the 5.004 distribution) AppCfg.pm (included) MHonArc (tested with 2.1.0) Glimpse (tested with 4.0B1)* * Version 3.6 is recommended because version 4 of glimpse is broken in that it corrupts the index when doing incremental additions.
WILMA Web Interface to List Mail Archives Wilma is a set of Perl programs that combines (Majordomo) mail list archives, the MHonArc mail folder HTML reformatter, and the Glimpse search engine into a CGI interface for browsing and searching those archives.
This works well for CGI with everything installed in the same directory but may not work for wilma_reindex, which is run from a crontab, unless one of the following is done.

 What Hour Was Jesus Crucified?
When John says "about the sixth hour" he means that the time was closer to noon than to 11:00 AM or to 1:00 PM, which means the exact time would have been between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
On the other hand, if the tenth hour was 4:00 PM, and the hour is late, the reader can understand why the remainder of the disciples' day would be spent with Jesus:  It was too late to do anything else before darkness.
I won't display the translations from eleven other versions on Bible Gateway (http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bible) which translate hektos hora literally as "the sixth hour."
