  CITR: A brief guide for investors
For individuals the CITR scheme reduces the investor’s income tax liability for the tax year in which the investment is made and each of the subsequent four tax years.
For companies the CITR scheme reduces the investor’s corporation tax liability for the accounting period in which the date of the investment falls and each of the accounting periods in which the subsequent four anniversaries of that date fall.
The CITR scheme is intended to encourage investors to hold the investments in the CDFI for at least five years.

The mission of CITR is to build up a thriving, well-funded community in basic and applied ITR at UT in order to help the University capitalize on the rich supply of research opportunities that now exist in this area.
Due to state budget constraints for fiscal years 2003-2006, the UT Centers of Excellence, including CITR, were not fully funded as expected.

It was brought to the attention of the CiTR Executive by a listener that these songs were played with inadequate introduction and that one of them (the U.T.F.O. song) contained lyrics that could easily be interpreted as being misogynist.
While the song in question is no longer being made available to the programmers by CiTR, we realize that the concerns raised by this incident are ongoing.
CiTR recognizes its responsibility by continuing to ensure that women are represented equally and fairly in all programming.

I had hoped that while I listened to it I would come up with a reason why it deserved to be aired on CiTR 101.9fm.
CiTR's mandate is to provide programming by and for people who are not serviced by other radio stations.
On review, CiTR has removed this CD from circulation and will encourage all of our DJs to use better judgement when it comes to airing comedy skits.

The CITR was one of the key recommendations made by the Social Investment Taskforce in October 2000 on how Government could help stimulate increased investment and economic activity in disadvantaged communities.
It allows private and corporate investors to receive a tax relief worth 5% of the value of their investment in the initial year, and in each of the four subsequent years while the investment is held.

I would also like to invite you to listen to CiTR as we have many different types of programming for and by many different groups, and there is no doubt, that there is at least one program that you would enjoy.
These songs do not exceed the acceptable standards of the intended audience as they only use the language that is commonly heard, if not used, by the people who listen to hardcore rap.
Therefore, while CiTR can appreciate your concerns, we feel that this type of language is acceptable and justifiable in our programming including the rap show you heard on Nov. 30.
