	CMA CGM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		CMA CGM S.A. is a French container transportation and shipping company, founded by M. Jacques R. Saadé.
		It was privatized and sold to Compagnie Maritime d'Affrètement (CMA) in 1996 to form CMA CGM.
		CMA CGM has acquired its French rival Delmas based in Le Havre from the Bolloré group in September 2005 for 600 millions Euros.

		CMA CGM now plans to continue to lower costs, through merging its head offices based in Paris and Marseilles into single headquarters in Marseilles, and diversifying into supply chain management and, to a limited extent, roll-on-roll-off shipping.

	CMA CGM introduces new service Asia — South Africa — South America
		The French shipping line CMA CGM has announced a new weekly service named SEAS to replace the existing ASAX service and operate between Asia ports, South Africa and Brazil/Argentina.
		The new service begins from 18 May 2005 from which time CMA CGM will provide five ships in association with three ships of China Shipping (CSCL) and two of Maruba.
		CMA CGM says that by opening this new service, the line will carry on its developments in South America, particularly in Brazil and Argentina and show its willingness to widen its commercial offer on this fast growing market.
