		In doing to I discovered the most important area for me to consider when using Photoshop for RGB to CMYK conversion for printer or press printing, was the colour space conversion set-up to ensure the correct gamut on printers and printing presses is realised.

		I'm on a trial period at a very cool agency and feel like an idiot b/c when i swirch their pantones to cmyk they are not matching up.
		Second, Pantone have revised their CMYK matches several times over the last few years and depending on which version of software you use (or how old your pantone swatches are) you can easily get different results for the same colour.
		The CMYK splits are treated the same way, therefore you will rarely (if ever) see a match between a coated and uncoated job using the same colours.
