This is a term used in computing to mean roughly a letter of an alphabet; but a set of characters also includes punctuation marks and on computer keyboards some shapes that are not found in ordinary typing or printing.
A collection of citations gives important evidence about a language but should not be confused with a corpus, which is a set of representative texts.

My relative bought me this Cobuild Dictionary version 1.00 from handango.
I have Cobuild (funny name for dictionary) and I ote that the two problems with it are memory errors or if you move the Cobuild file from the documents folder.
That is why a restart will often solve the problem as everything from "not found" to "execserv" errors are jusr poorly trapped memory errors.
