An introduction to the Corsican language.
The three arguments in favour of speaking the language are that it's a key to Corsican identity; that bilinguality helps in the learning of other languages and encourages intellectual agility; that speaking Corsican and French opens the door to the rest of the Latin-speaking world of 500 million people.
At primary level the language can be taught three hours a week, and teachers are urged by the regional education service to integrate Corsican in their courses.
The cultural sponsorship of the language is considerable and of course in the field of song, it is paramount.

 Programming Is In The Mind
Genetic programming takes a quantized set of goals and a quantized set of things that may be changed, and iterates through random permutations by a set of quantized rules until it finds a solution set which provides a superior result to its other resultant solution sets.
Programming is the application of thought to problems, including the contemplation of consequences of the decisions and actions mechanized in the code.
Programming languages are interfaces that allow programmers to tell a computer how their solution works.

Cattle or females of the Bovine family - in English, "cow" is usually spoken to refer specifically to female cattle, but in vernacular language it often refers to any cattle regardless of sex.

 Lisp programming language Summary
Information Processing Language was the first AI language, from 1955 or 1956, and already included many of the concepts, such as list-processing and recursion, which came to be used in Lisp.
Lisp was the first homoiconic programming language: the primary representation of program code is the same type of list structure that is also used for the main data structures.
Newer languages such as Java and Python have incorporated some limited versions of some of the features of Lisp, but are necessarily unable to bring the coherence and synergy of the full concepts found in Lisp.

The COW is freely available for anyone to use, but only registered students can log in for a session in which their work will be recorded and graded.
COW has the built-in ability to keep track of the user's work and calculate a sort of homework grade.

 Introduction to Scientific Programming
Introduction to Scientific Programming was developed over a period of three years for use in teaching a course in scientific computing to beginning science and engineering students at the University of Utah.
In conventional science and engineering degree programs, computation is commonly treated as a narrow technical tool to be studied and applied in isolation from the traditional topics of the discipline.
This chapter marks the transition point between the treatments of Maple and C. Statement-oriented procedural programming in C is introduced and the differences in programming in Maple and C are outlined.

The COW is quite smart, in a bovine sort of way, but she can't read your mind.
So when you type in formulas, the COW interprets them very strictly and carefully, according to a prescribed set of rules determined by her programming.
It tells the COW that after you have typed "x^2", the exponent is finished, and the rest of the formula belongs to the denominator, below the "/".

Hello World In Many Programming Languages
If you are confused about whether or not your selected language is a programming language take this easy test to determine it: if it is possible to modify the program to print the greeting ten times without duplicating code, then it most likely is a programming language.
This program appears to orginate from http://www.engin.umd.umich.edu/CIS/course.des/cis400/algol/hworld.html which indicates that the program was written for a Burroughs/Unisys A-series mainframe, and that it has not been tested due to an inability to locate such a machine or a compatible compiler.
Loading the program subsequently brings up: "Hello, World!" Individuals will quibble over this relentlessly, saying, "It's not the same!" I can only agree that it's not the same, but that was my point about the languages and their environments in the first place.
