CPM finished releasing The Grey Witch, and the Lady of Pharis last summer.
The manga went on for a few more months in Boys' ACE in Taiwan, and Hong Kong as it was a little behind Japan due to translating.
Deedlit's Tale: This is a shoujo (girls) manga that began it's run (in the US) in September 2001, and has run, as of February [2002] for 7 issues under CPM Manga.

I've not taken an actual survey of the translated manga hitting the market, but it seems to me there is a lot of shojo manga ("girl's manga") on the shelves, perhaps even enough to have surpassed shonen manga ("boy's manga") in terms of quantity.
If you've been to our manga review section a few times, you probably know I'm a big fan of Iron Wok Jan! It's like the best kung-fu movie you ever saw, but instead of weapons and fighting, the story is filled with fresh vegetables and cooking techniques.

Anyway, these elements are the inter-personal relationships of the crew members and the sheer fact that the series' heart is in being a spoof of fandom.
Yet, where the TV series seems to loose its direction at the half-way mark, the manga constantly hits the mark with both solid and engaging story-telling and just does more with the overall narrative.
It doesn't detract from the manga, it just took me out of the story because on page 59 the scene was making reference to Akito's tattoo on his neck.

CPM has struggled in the past with printing problems affecting the appearance of some books.

Hitoshi Tomizawa and the A9 Producers both stated in interviews that the OVA and the Manga are not the same and that the OVA is just one interputation of the story.
I didn't want to spoil the Manga for those who haven't read it yet, and, at the time of writing the paper, I had not completely translated the manga myself.

There was quite a buzz surrounding Kokmen’s move to CPM in terms of resurrecting the company so it should be interesting to see what he does for a publisher which is having real problems doing anything wrong.
If CPM is near death constantly, it may not be a good idea to buy books from them because you will have a uncompleted series.
When CPM fired so much of its staff a few months ago, Kokman was one of the guys mentioned by name.

Since it's the smallest segment of Aquarium (the story only ran in one issue of the comic's 6-issue CPM Manga run), though, I defintely got my money's worth and then some.
Tanaguchi's art is very much in a stereotypical shojo manga style.

Well Tanoshimi (the UK version of Del Rey) it seems has decided that it doesn’t have the same social concerns that the US market faces and is planning their release of volume 02 in all its thongy goodness.
Whilst even here in the UK we could not get away with some of the works that Japan releases, there is a certain proclivity towards the material which allows a greater flexibility and understanding; the Air Gear cover is a perfect example of this in action.

O’Donnell says CPM sales are lower today but so are his costs, and the house has been “cash positive” since the end of the summer.
He says CPM vendors, printers Quebecois and Triplex, and DVD replicators Cav and Expedia “stood by us.” But the vendors couldn’t extend the house more credit, and “we had to cut back on dubbing, printing and translations,” says O’Donnell.
CPM is moving its inventory into the Consortium warehouse, and O’Donnell says the distributor will begin servicing its accounts in the next few weeks.

CPM (I think that's who did Slayers...) was OK translation-wise, but I would've preferred it in right-to-left format, and I thought the tankoubons were overpriced (about $16..).
Plus the manga of ccs has more blatent refrences to all the crazy relationships (the best part of ccs in my opinion).

 Anime Dream News - Fanboy Announces New Manga, Spellbound
CPM Manga has released all six volumes of her shoujo manga Call Me Princess, as well as the first of three volumes of Aquarium.
What makes this new series unique, however, is that, while her other domestically released manga were reprints of older series already published in Japan, Spellbound is being created with the US market in mind and will see a domestic release first.
The preview will later be available in the May 31st issue of Diamond Dateline, a copy of which I'm hoping to get a hold of upon it's release.

Looks like another typical day in The World of Narue, a manga about what happens when you girlfriend turns out to be a member of the Earth Investigation Team of the Galatic Federation.
The localization of the book seems right on target with a presentation that goes from right-to-left, translation of sound effects through subtitles was good, and the reproduction of the original art seems solid with no really noticeable issues.
In addition to the manga itself CPM Press also included a brief QandA page with the creator of The World of Narie at the end of the story that proves to be an interesting read and certainly a nice bonus for the reader.
