Cathode ray tube - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The earliest version of the CRT was a cold-cathode diode, a modification of the Crookes tube with a phosphor-coated screen, sometimes called a Braun tube.
CRT displays accumulate static electrical charge on the screen, unless protective measures are taken.
CRTs have large viewing areas and proportionally larger bells required to accommodate the deflection of the electron beams to the rear of the screen.

 CRT Mount
CRT projectors are made of three cathode ray picture tubes, like those in regular TV's but with really long "necks", and a different color phosphor on each tube.
CRT projectors are really designed for ceiling mount, on the floor they can get bumped, and the optimum position for the projector is usually the same as the optimal seating location, so something has to move.
CRT manufacturer's make ceiling mount kits as do some third party manufacturers, but they cost anywhere from $300 to $1400 just for a mount, so I decided to design and build my own.

CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) or Baush and Lomb VST (Vision Shaping Therapy) is a revolutionary new technique of correcting your vision without the use of daytime contact lenses, eyeglasses, or risky surgery.
CRT lenses are worn at night while sleeping and are removed from the eyes the first thing in the morning.
Because CRT uses similar types of lenses (although much more comfortable to wear than typical GP lenses due to their high oxygen-permeability), it is thought that CRT may also be able to slow down or halt the progression of nearsightedness.

Whilst confusion surrounds the precise origins of the cathode-ray tube, or CRT, it's generally agreed that German scientist Karl Ferdinand Braun developed the first controllable CRT in 1897, when he added alternating voltages to the device to enable it to send controlled streams of electrons from one end of the tube to the other.
However, by 2001 the writing was clearly on the wall and the CRT's long period of dominance appeared finally to be coming to an end.
Having peaked at a high of approaching $20 billion in 1999, revenues from CRT monitor sales were forecast to plunge to about half that figure by 2007.
