CSI: NY (working title CSI: New York) is an American police procedural television series which premiered on September 22, 2004.
It was the second spinoff from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and was introduced during an episode of CSI: Miami when Horatio Caine journeyed to New York City in pursuit of a murder suspect who fled Miami.
Like the other two CSI programs, the theme song is by The Who; this time the song is "Baba O'Reilly ".

Some of the scenes inside CSI HQ are almost Gothic in the way dark areas of shadow surround the areas of highlighted brightness where examinations and tests take place.
It's true that his team isn't yet as well developed or individualised as those in the other two CSI teams, but the pairing of Mac and Stella is probably the most believable and interesting in the whole CSI franchise.
As a massive csi fan i was optomistic about this especially when i heard Gary Sinese was the lead but i totally can not get into this what so ever, the cast seems totally wooden, it just doesnt have the style and grit of csi miami and the original csi which are both incredible.

How is it that CSI: Miami is such a kick in the pants to watch with the very horrible David Caruso in front of the camera, while CSI: NY is like visual valium with the very excellent Gary Sinise at the helm?
I still remember when they introduced the NY cast on Miami...when Sinise and Caruso did a scene together, it was laughable how bad Opie came off next to an obviously polished thespian.
