		Five years after the murder of journalist Reinaldo Coutinho da Silva, publisher of the Cachoeiras Jornal, based in Cachoeiras de Macacu, Rio de Janeiro state — a case that has been made a "priority" of the Rio de Janeiro state police — the guilty have yet to be brought to justice.
		Cachoeiras de Macacu, the city where Coutinho da Silva’s newspaper was located, is in the Baixada Litorânea (Lower Coastal) region, 12 miles from São Gonçalo.
		Cachoeiras de Macacu state attorney Paul Sérgio Rangel de Nascimento believes the journalist’s death was plotted in that city.

		The Prospecting Licence for the Cachoeiras de Binga area was issued to Sociedade Mineira Simba Jamba Lda on the 22nd January 2004.
		At Cachoeiras de Binga, the hanging wall limestones are considered to be part of the overlying Binga evaporitic cycle.
		The work indicated an extension of the deposit to the west of the Cachoeiras de Binga area of Peres and suggested that the deposit was open to the south.

		"Cachoeira Almécegas" (Almécegas Waterfall) - it is close to São Bento, it is a beautiful waterfall, with a fall of 45 meters in veil format.
		The water is freezing cold, as well as in all of the waters of the region, and some swimmers use a stone of the walls in turn of the well as trampoline.
		Jumps of Rio Preto: it is one of the main points of Chapada dos Veadeiros, one fall has about 120m and the other 80m.

		Shortly before he died he had published in his newspaper the photographs and names of civil and military police officers allegedly part of an underground ring operating in the area.
		Another theory mentioned by police as a possible motive for the murder was a dispute between Da Silva and Rogério Mesquita, owner of the rival newspaper Actualidades, over placement of official advertising by the Cachoeiras de Macacu city hall.
		Also under investigation were a colleague of Da Silva at his newspaper with whom he had argued about work and people mentioned in documents found in Da Silva's car the day of his death.

		It is situated right below the waterfall of Cachoeiras and thus gives a beautiful view of this.
		When I visited it, the park was to a large extent broken down, but one could still see the potential of a beautiful place!
