The DeVille line has been completely recast for the 1997 model year, and I think they have done just about everything as right as can be expected from Cadillac...which is pretty damn close to perfection.
There are three different DeVille models for 1997, all with the highly-venerated Northstar front-wheel drive "system", but only the Concours model allows this wondrous engine to develop its current full potential of 300 horses (the other models are held to only 275).
If this is what Cadillac considers their top of the line performance/comfort model for the late 1990s, they could have done a lot worse.
