Caister were 164/4 off 37 over’s and a total of 180 seemed the destined total.
With 20 over’s reaming Hethersett were 47/6 and they simply had to go for it which worked to Caister’s advantage with Greeny and Bartram picking up the final four wickets to bowl Heathersett out for 82 which was 119 runs shy of Caister’s total.
The bowling display of the Caister players was simply awesome on a batsman paradise and everyone can be proud of their achievements against a strong Hethersett team.

Caister was built in 1432 by Sir John Falstaff, under the reign of Henry VI (1422-60), who granted only 5 such licenses, with Caister being one of them.
The most interesting thing about Caister is the fact that it is built out of Brick, and is one of the very few to be built that way.
Caister wasn't the strongest of castles because of it's brick walls.

It is possible that the Bure was forded at this point, and the overland route continued on the western side of the river the last three miles to Brampton, though the suspected east-west Roman road of "Low Street" crossed the Bure two and a half to three miles further north.
The Caister - Venta Icenorum road possibly crossed the Bure near Stokesby, though it is unknown whether the road ran through Mantby and Thrigby or took the more southerly route via Runham.

On the prominent red lifeboat station in Caister is a little sign stating 'Caister men never turn back'.
This building is the Caister lifeboat station, and there is a car park immediately inland from it.
