 | | Art historian and cultural theorist Andrea Liss, Cal State San Marcos visual and performing arts faculty, will present “Loving in Difference in Ngozi Onruwah’s Film, ‘The Body Beautiful.’” Based on the film, part of which will be screened, the discussion will focus on the feminist ethics of respecting differences among women. |
 | | Jill Watts, Cal State San Marcos history professor, will discuss one of Hollywood’s most famous “bad girls,” in her talk, “The Best Way to Behave is to Misbehave: Mae West as Outlaw Performer.” Last year, Watts published the first comprehensive, interpretive account of West's life and work. |
