Cal Poly is asking California State University trustees for conceptual approval to enter a public-private partnership to develop a 2,700-bed apartment-style student housing complex on campus, to be phased in during the next three years.
To offset the loss of agricultural land used for the campus housing project, Capstone is also proposing to transfer ownership of 1,254 acres of prime agricultural land in the Edna Valley to the university – including established commercial vineyards, grazing land and equestrian facilities.
The project also allows Cal Poly to establish standards for construction and furnishings for the student housing complex, and to monitor and approve (or change) the progress and quality of the student housing complex, while protecting Cal Poly from development and construction risks and costs.

Cal Poly administrators announced today that the university will offer a full summer quarter class schedule in June 2005, thanks to state funding agreements between the California State University System and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Cal Poly is rebuilding summer enrollment under the terms of the new Governor's Compact to fund higher education.
Dalton explained that Cal Poly is directing its 2.5 percent enrollment growth into summer over the next several years because the university wants to keep its entering freshman class and fall enrollment stable.

The short was co-directed by Cal Dalton and Joseph Benson Hardaway, the latter better known as Ben Hardaway and nick-named "Bugs".
The cartoon was more or less a copy of Porky's Duck Hunt, first released on July 7,1937, directed by Tex Avery and introducing Daffy Duck.
His third appearance was in Hare-um Scare-um, first released in August 12, 1939, again directed by Dalton and Hardaway.

His moment of fame came in 1938 when he co-directed (with Cal Dalton) ‘Porky’s Hare Hunt,’ in which there appeared for the first time a wisecracking rabbit of whom more was to be heard.
In 1940 the rabbit, officially named Bugs Bunny in reference to Hardaway, became the star of the studio—ironically, since 1940 was also the year Hardaway decided to leave Schlesinger for Walter Lantz.
Cal Dalton and Joseph “Ben” Hardaway were assigned to direct “Hare-um Scare-um,” the third cartoon featuring a rabbit.

Cohen worked for Warner Bros. for 15 years and has worked at many other studios during a career that spanned into the 1970's.
A recently discovered main title card shows that Cal Howard, not Ben Hardaway, directed this cartoon with Cal Dalton.
