Calgary opened the scoring just 10 minutes in when an attempted clearance by UBC keeper Kelly McNabney (Pickering, Ont.) on a pass back from her defender ricocheted off a player in the box and landed neatly on the foot of Calgary forward Sue Wandler (Calgary) who tapped it home.
On the same play, Calgary midfielder Dani Harris (Calgary) was assessed a red card after making contact with the referee while expressing her displeasure with a perceived non-call, leaving the Dinos shorthanded for the remainder of the game.
