		On April 14, 2000, institutional officials from the California State University, Northridge and the university's former head football coach met with the Division I Committee on Infractions and the enforcement staff in Indianapolis to address allegations of NCAA violations in the institution's football program.
		The university believes that someone associated with the university provided the prospective student-athlete funds to enroll at the junior college but believes the evidence is inconclusive as to the athletics representative's involvement.
		University telephone records show that the prospect used the former head football coach's line for the telephone calls in question, but the investigation revealed that the coach's office was often unsecured during the time the calls were placed.
