Poker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Poker is a card game, the most popular of a class of games called vying games, in which players with fully or partially concealed cards make wagers into a central pot, which is awarded to the player or players with the best combination of cards or to the player who makes an uncalled bet.
The right to deal each hand typically rotates among the players and is marked by a token called a button or buck.
In a casino a house dealer handles the cards for each hand, but a button (typically a white plastic disk) is rotated among the players to indicate a nominal dealer to determine the order of betting.

Curio Corner: John WILLIAMS Call of the Champions; American Journey: Film Music on the Web CD Reviews March 2002   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
He does it again with 'Call of the Champions' for the 2002 Winter Games in Utah (which will have been just finished by the time this is read).
The choir also helps lend an anthem-like sense to 'Call of the Champions,' which Williams propels muscularly through its 5-minute course with the help of an energizing, 12-note motif.
Williams’s Olympics music has become a tradition and his new Winter 2002 hymn, Call of the Champions, with its overlapping fanfares and evocative figures of thrilling snowy competition, lifts both the heart and the spirit.

 American Journey by John Williams
The feature track is John Williams' theme for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah, entitled Call of the Champions, but at least equally anticipated has been the release of the six movements from American Journey.
His composition, Call of the Champions (1), too has its own unique identity, but sadly falls short of the grandeur of Williams' previous works.
Even when held up to the light of the other tracks of this CD, Call of the Champions is thin and devoid of that mystical essence of heart that John Williams pours so liberally elsewhere.

 Filmtracks: American Journey (John Williams)
With such a diverse resume of popular works, Williams was called upon several years ago to write themes for the Olympics hosted by The United States.
Now, with a country's nerves on edge because of the past year's terrorist attacks, John Williams is called upon once again to lift the American spirit and provide a bold rallying cry for the newest Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The album opens with a November, 2001, concert performance of the new Olympic theme for Salt Lake, "Call of the Champions." Unlike "Summon the Heroes," the theme for the 1996 game, "Call of the Champions" is performed by the prevailing local orchestra and choir, adding more depth and local significance to the recording.
