Cambridge is a town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand.
The Cambridge Declaration is a statement of faith written in 1996 by the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, a group of Calvinist and Reformed Evangelicals who were concerned with the state of the Evangelical movement in America, and throughout the world.

One day while we were grounded at Elmdon, because of low cloud, another instructor and myself had been down to the local pub for a glass of beer when we heard an aircraft in the area followed by some big thumps.
We assumed that there was something going on at the aerodrome and immediately got in the car and drove straight back there.
I was then posted to Cambridge and shortly afterwards was put in charge and promoted to Flight Lieutenant and told that I was to take over the command of a detached flight at Bottisham, a satellite of the main aerodrome at Cambridge (which was Marshal's at that time).

We radioed a 210 that had just left Apollo Bay, weather OK but we could not clear the ranges, back to Kyneton for the night, went to the pub and were accused of being cops, second time this had happened (must be Ed’s good looks).
As luck would have it I was number two of the last pair and my leader was an old Spitfire pilot who had never got the hang of tight circuits.
We dragged towards the aerodrome and did one of the longest circuits possible.

He was appointed as a College Lecturer and Director of Studies at New Hall in January 2006, and his research is now focused on Modernism, Second World War fiction and poetry, and the relationship between locale and literature.
