Oliver W. Heaviside (b: May 18, 1850 in Camden Town, London, England, d: February 3, 1925 in Paignton, Devon, England) caught scarlet fever when he was a young child and this affected his hearing.
The town should be proud of its famous resident who now lies buried with his parents in Colley End Road cemetery, Paignton, just quarter of a mile from my former home.
