Sir Ewen Cameron of Lochiel (1629 - 1719), (The dialect of English used in Scotland) Scottish Highland chieftain, was the eldest Son of John Cameron and the grandson of Alan Cameron, the head of the clan Cameron.
Lochiel, who died in February 1719, is called by (English historian noted for his history of England (1800-1859)) Macaulay the "Ulysses of the Highlands".
Lochiel's son and successor, John, died in (A medieval country in northern Europe that included regions now parts of northern France and Belgium and southwestern Netherlands) Flanders in 1748.
