Ciara-Camile Roque Velasco (born September 1, 1985) an American singer of Filipino, Spanish and Irish descent, was one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series American Idol.
Born in Makati City, Philippines, Velasco's family later moved to Haiku, Maui—located in the islands of Hawaii in 1993.
On the show, Velasco's trademark was a red, yellow and green Rasta wristband, which she always wore on her left wrist as a good luck charm and as an homage to reggae music and her idol Lauryn Hill.

On Wednesday, Camile Velasco was the person that was next to leave American Idol.  During an afternoon conference call with various news sites, she answered some questions about her experience on the show and her future plans.
Camile: I don't know, I think from myself.  When I was younger my mom was really strict, she isn't now but I kind of used to (laughs) not listen to her.  I did not listen to her when it came to music I listened to.
Camile was a lovely contestant with a lot of fans.  TVRules.net would like to wish her much success and would like to thank her for the time she spent answering questions.  We would also like to thank FOX for granting us the opportunity to attend the interview.

I can see the Alicia Keys singing style comparisons, and while I didn't think that Camile was a fantastic singer, I thought she was fairly unique.
From the milliseconds of snippets I saw of her from the previews, she does appear to become more comfortable with the stage in the next round.
