The entry for a year that may be 539 reads, "the strife of Camlann in which Arthur and Merdraut fell." No mention of villainy or opposition between the two is made.
In the triads, Camlann is one of the "Three Futile Battles," the result of a tragic, bloody feud.
While Camlann may have actually happened, it is impossible to place not only the location but a real Arthur in the battle.

Camlann is Arthur's final battlefield on Salisbury Plain where he received his mortal wound by Mordred.
Camlann is mentioned in a few of the triads, particularily in the one headed "Three Unrestrained Ravages," which describes the events leading up the final battle between Arthur and Mordred.
Also mentioned in "Three Futile Battles," Camlann is describes as a bloody and tragic clash that was the result of a feud with Mordred.

A possible site is Queen Camel in Somerset which is close to the hill fort near South Cadbury (identified by some with King Arthur's Camelot), where the River Cam flows beneath Camel Hill and Annis Hill.
However, a number of other identifications have been offered, including Birdoswald near Hadrian's Wall (Latin "Camboglana"), the River Camel along the border of Cornwall, and the River Camlann in Eifionydd in Wales.

I recieved Warriors of Alavna and Warriors of Camlann as a present from my sister, and as a skeptical fantasy reader, I started on the books with trepidation.
Warriors of Camlann was a great sequel- I was always obsessed with Arthurian legend, and this books gives a fresh version of it.
The descriptive imagery really drew me into the setting of the book- I felt the battle wounds, smelt the horses.
