Fountain MAUPIN, a son of Thomas and Catherine (WHITE) MAUPIN, was born 11 July 1806 in Albemarle County, Virginia, and died 30 December 1868 in Claiborne County, Tennessee.
Fountain MAUPIN moved from Virginia to Campbell County, Tennessee in the early 1830s, settling, it is believed, in the Fincastle area where his older brother Overton MAUPIN, and his uncle, Amos MAUPIN, had already settled.

She is survived by husband Albert Brummett of Jellico; two sons Eddie Wayne Brummett of Whitley County, Ky., Joel Brummett of Jellico; three grandchildren.
He is survived by son Charles Anthony Halcomb of Indianapolis; stepson Monroe Baker of Indianapolis; daughters Eleanor Flathers of Danville, Ind., Judy Campbell of Stinking Creek; stepdaughter Cindy England of Greenfield, Indiana; sister Marie Hicks of Stinking Creek; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Circle Cemetery in Briceville with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
