The Campus Freethought Alliance is an organization started by the Council for Secular Humanism in 1996 in order to reach out to university and high school students.
CFA provides funding, speakers/debators, literature, and other resources to student groups that affiliate.
In 2001, as a result of a dispute over management of the organization as a whole, a number of student groups organized a competing group, the Secular Student Alliance, with largely the same ends -- to promote secular humanism as an alternative to religious lifestyle and politics.

My campus has no such thing...sigh...xtian groups for just about every nationality and sect, Muslim and Jewish and Sikh and Buddhist and Hindu groups as well...but no freethinkers' group.
I am considering trying to start something on my campus, which is why I was wondering here if anyone had any person experience.
There is a CFA group at my university, but I am not interested in being part of it.
