Statistical Accuracy vs. Completeness   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-31)
Although the leagues do make mistakes in their final official statistics (usually spelling player names incorrectly or swapping players with similar names -- hockeydb.com will correct such mistakes), the only nonobvious changes that hockeydb.com will make are those that are recognized by the league.
Many hockey leagues do not publish their statistics; most Canadian Tier II leagues, many CIAU conferences, and many non-Elite European league statistics are impossible to locate, especially in North America.
If you are affiliated with a hockey team, please remember that there are leagues that may not be included on hockeydb.com, so if there is a gap showing in a player's career it may be because he played in an obscure European league that we do not have information on yet.
