The Santurce Crabbers are a BSN basketball team from the San Juan area of Santurce.
Although his future with the team is uncertain as it depends on a pending decision by the Utah Jazz, point guard Carlos Arroyo is still, officially, a member of the Crabbers, which was his second professional team.
Their namesakes, the Santurce Crabbers of Baseball are also a famous team with whom Roberto Clemente played for many years.

 Jose Ortiz
Ortiz, nicknamed Piculin after one of the characters in The Wizard of Oz and The Concorde, is a native of Cayey who entered Puerto Rico's national basketball tournament with the Atleticos De San German in 1981.
In 1997, he was let go by the Atleticos and signed with expansion team Cangrejeros De Santurce, which proceeded to win 4 national championships in a row.

Mario Morales, nicknamed Quijote for his ability to conquer both scoring and team championships in the Puerto Rican BSN league, is one of Puerto Rico's all time basketball greats.
Morales became a member of the BSN's Cangrejeros De Santurce in 1974, when he was only 14.
In 1976, the Cangrejeros became the Mets de Guaynabo, and Morales, aided with the help of his brother in law the half Puerto Rican-half Mexican Federico Fico Lopez[?], took the Mets to a total of 8 BSN finals, winning 3 championships along the way.
