The franchise to operate greyhound racing was granted to “The Kun Pha” in August 1961, transferred to the “Macau Greyhound Co. Ltd” in March 1962 and inherited by the Macao (Yut Yuen) Canidrome Co. Ltd.
In 23 November 1985, the Macao government signed a new concession contract with the Macao (Yut Yuen) Canidrome Co. Ltd.
Currently, greyhound racing mainly refers to a group of greyhound dogs chasing after an electronic rabbit on a track and betting can be placed on a single or group of greyhound.
