		About the only thing the 20D does worse than the 10D is a report I heard that the buffer in RAW mode is very sluggish, which if true means of course shoot JPG for action.
		Canon calls it "H" to scare away the innocent who probably ought not be shooting at 3,200 unless they have a good reason.
		Canon offers a trick "high speed sync"mode with some flashes which doesn't really count; more about that mode here.

		Canon claims that the new autofocus is superior to that on the 10D with stationary subjects, but I wasn't able to confirm this during my tests.
		Canon has obviously decided that smaller, lighter and less expensive to build is the success formula for the 20D, so long as the buyer still gets a bigger sensor, clean images and faster shooting speeds.

		Alright, I admit that I may be drunk by the "gadgedralin" infused from my new 20D, but it replaced a Canon Digital Rebel and all of the obstacles from that (good) camera were removed by the (better) EOS 20D.
		Having said that, I am very happy with my upgrade and the 20D now provides all the functionality that was missing from the Digital Rebel due to shortsighted Canon marketing of 2003 (to 'protect' sales of the more expensive 10D).
		This may be an unfair comparison but previously the EOS 10D got stiff competition from the Digital Rebel and even more so with an unofficial firmware hack that boosted the Rebel to near-10D functionality.

		Before the EOS 5D was announced, I wrestled with the idea of "upgrading" from the 20D to an EOS 1Ds II but decided against it.
		The EOS 20D with its 17-85 IS lens is a brilliant travel camera and lens combination.
