Cap Blanc, which was discovered in 1909, is today the only frieze of prehistoric sculptures in the world to be shown to the public.
It is curious that early reports of the Cap Blanc skeleton claimed that it was of a male aged about 25, whereas examination by physical anthropologists eventually established that it was of a young adult female.

Fleur du Cap added yet another gold medal to a growing haul, when its 2002 Chardonnay was voted Best Value White at the recent Canadian International Wine Challenge.
Winemaker Kobus Gerber's Chardonnay was awarded one of only five golds on offer in the competition hosted by the Food and Beverage Testing Institute of Canada and held annually at Toronto's Cheese and Wine Show.
Gerber selected grapes from the vineyards in the Stellenbosch and Malmesbury areas, which were aged in wood for six months, giving the wine all the complexities and elegance of a fine wooded Chardonnay while displaying citrus and vanilla notes, integrated with ripe peaches and dried fruit flavours.
