The Cap Creus is the last outlet of the Pyrenees and at the same time the most easterly point of the Iberian Peninsula on the map.
The Cap Creus since May 1998 declared as a nature reserve, lies by the sea as well as on land.

 Where to go
The most spectacular sites are barely 4 miles from Empuriabrava, in the "Cap de Creus" peninsula that stands 10 kms out to sea, forming a very broken coastline with its high cliffs, wind-beaten islands and eroded rock reefs, beautiful panorama, hidden coves with transparent water that can only be accessed by sea.
The vines and olive groves are entwined on the mountainsides in stone-held terraces of arable land.
Three years ago Cap de Creus was declared a natural reserve and is currently the biggest in Europe.

The monastery Sant Père de Rodes is situated between Llançà and port de la Selva and is considered as the most important building from the Roman era in Catalonia.
By road it can be reached via Port de la Selva or Vilajuïga. Several foot paths lead to the monastery from Llançà or Vall de Creu.
The bay of port de la Selva forms a natural harbor basin and is sheltered by the surrounding mountains from the harsh northerly winds.
