Cape Juby is a cape on the coast of southern Morocco, near its border with Western Sahara, directly east of the Canary Islands.
After some resistance and some fighting during 1957, Cape Juby was ceded to Morocco in 1958.
Most of the issues were printed in larger quantities than the residents of Cape Juby could ever possibly use, were sold to collectors, and are today still quite common, with minimal value.

In 1912, Spain negotiated with (A republic in western Europe; the largest country wholly in Europe) France (who controlled the affairs of Morocco at the time) for concessions on the southern edge of Morocco, and on July 29, 1916, Francisco Bens officially occupied Cape Juby.
The ship SS Cape Juby carries cargo for the (The navy of the United States of America; maintains and trains and equips combat-ready naval forces) US Navy.
Thereafter overprints read "Cabo Juby" in various forms, on stamps of Spain from 1919 to 1929, then on stamps of (additional info and facts about Spanish Morocco) Spanish Morocco.

Cape Johnson is a 564-foot-long breakbulk ship designed to carry pallets of ammunition, combat or replenishment supplies.
As of 2003, the SS Cape John and many of its RRF sister ships were redeployed to aid with Iraqi Freedom where it is currently being used.

From the survey in the waters of the Republic of Cape Verde a total biomass of 100 000 tonnes was estimated, of which 65 000 tonnes were classified as small pelagic fish.

For long he dreamt of conquest, and put up in 1902 a Company for Nitrates of Cape Juby, and had the idea of creating a trans-Saharan railway, although the French government didnʼt listen to him.
A ship whose captain was Jaurès (brother of the famous Jean Jaurès, socialist French politician) was sent to the Saharan coast, and took back the 5 men who had been sold as slaves near Cape Juby, and of whom Jacques the 1st did not take care at all.

The MCDS allowed an RRF ship, in this case the Cape Johnson, to substitute for and, for the first time, perform the role of a combat logistics force ship in resupplying a battle group.
The 35-year-old, 564-foot-long Cape Johnson was called upon by the Military Sealift Command to test the capability of the MCDS in replenishing a battle group during a two-week George Washington Battle Group competitive training exercise; the Cape Johnson re-supplied 11 ships in the battle group during the exercise.
The MCDS is a mechanized cargo transfer system that performs as a combination of elevator and winch, transferring pallets across wires strung between ships sailing side-by-side.
