further north i will be travelling with the midnight sun (in tromsø the sun does not set from 20 may to 22 july and up at the north cape the sun does not set from 13 may to 29 july).
after reaching the north cape last saturday evening, felix and i spent one more day of cycling, washing our clothes and relaxing before we both headed off in different directions.
the nordkinn plateau was really an experience after all the traffic that we had leading up to the north cape on the last section where we were forced to take the arctic highway (no other roads).

I have to admit that when on a boat in the area I stayed on board enjoying the midnight sun rather than join the hordes going off on an excursion to the official North Cape.
But you might always wonder what additional information/whimsical souvenirs/photo opportunities you may have missed by not going to the official one if you are in the neighbourhood.
So it looks like Gamvik at a minimum and Cape Nordkinn if we dare get off the beaten path.

The cache is located near the Kinnarodden cliff at the northern tip of the Nordkinn peninsula.
Surrounded by nothing but stones and with a view to the waters of Barents Sea this is a place where you can experience the poor beauty of lonesome nature.
This was a really great outdoor experience, totally different from walking the marked tracks in the southern (from Nordkinn point of view) Scandinavian fjell.

The North Cape is a bit "been there, done that".
The weather is usually quite crappy and the price for entering the plateau is rather steep.
