New South Wales is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on the E., by Queensland on the N., by South Australia on the W. and by Victoria on the S. It lies between 28 and 38 S. lat., and 141 and 154 E. long.
South of Sydney the rivers are of less importance; the principal is the Shoalhaven, 260 m.
In the extreme south-east of New South Wales, at the head of the Genoa river, are sandstones with Archaeopleris howilti, which are an extension of the Lower Devonian beds of Victoria; while farther to the east, at Eden and Twofold Bay, are Upper Devonian sandstones.

He persuaded the New South Wales legislature to pass an Act on 27 July 1852 requiring all railways in the colony to be of 5 feet 3 inch gauge.
As originally New South Wales and Victoria had different railway gauges, this meant that all travellers in either direction had to change trains at Albury.
When the Bridge and the new underground railway to Central opened in 1932, it and the nearby Lavender Bay station were replaced by the current Milsons Point station and North Sydney station.

 Eastern Sequence Project
The project, which is being undertaken in collaboration with Dr. Peter Hiscock (Archaeology and Anthropology, ANU), differs from earlier studies in that it focuses on the technological structure and change in stone artefact assemblages during the Holocene rather than changes in the abundance of different implement types.
Capertee 3 was the 'type' site originally used by archaeologist FD McCarthy, who excavated this site in the 1960s, to define the nature of the earliest of three phases of a sequence for eastern New South Wales.
The current re-analysis shows that in the Capertian assemblages at Capertee 3 there was a stone-working technology structured around continuous reduction of retouched flakes without distinct evidence of 'imposed form'.

When we visited, the grounds were in neat and tidy condition with the grass cut.

 Regent Honeyeater (Xanthomyza phrygia) Recovery Plan 1999 - 2003
During spring 1997 at least 400 Regent Honeyeaters were present in the Capertee Valley, NSW and, based on the proportion of colour-banded birds present, the actual population may have been closer to 800 (D. Geering unpublished data).
At Capertee Valley in 1995 and 1996 the mean height of 144 nests was 14.3 +/- 6.2 m (range 3-30).
They are now being implemented at important sites in north-eastern New South Wales by State Forests of NSW and will form the basis of management guidelines and prescriptions for this species in the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service 'Manual of Schedule 12 Species'.

There was an interim ban on new bolts placed several years ago, pending a plan of management.
Both plan of managemnt say no new bolts or fixed gear.

A pair of birds, flushed from the leaf-litter in the You Yangs NP (Vic) on 25th Dec, were un-doubtedly this species.  However, one was seen well on the edge of woodland north of Deniliquin (NSW) on 23rd Feb after being flushed on several occasions.
Relatively widespread in the south and east with occasional parties of birds encountered.  Rarely noted around water and often appearing to favour habitated areas.
The final new species of the trip was a pair of this species feeding along  the track and the adjoining rockface of the Old Great North Road in the Dharug NP (NSW) on 1st March.  Having searched this site on a previous date, I am surprised that I missed seeing the species on that occasion.
