 | | PROPERTY developer CapitaLand, which aims to expand its asset portfolio in Japan, yesterday said it has bought a 5.45 per cent stake in one of the leading residential developers in the Kansai region for 1.67 billion yen (S$22.1 million). |
 | | CapitaLand also said it has entered into a separate joint investment business agreement with the developer - Samty Co Ltd - to further business cooperation between the two developers. |
 | | Right now, CapitaLand has two property funds in Japan - CapitaRetail Japan Fund, which is a private retail fund that has invested 45.2 billion yen in malls in the country; and ARC-CapitaLand Residences Japan, which invests in rental apartment buildings in key cities. |
