Detailed studies of all aspects of this plant are needed, nevertheless, its embryo is curved, its flowers monosymmetrical, and its nectary is between the petals and stamens, all features appropriate for a position around here.
Capparaceae are sister to Cleomaceae + Brassicaceae; for further details of relationships see Hall and Sytsma (2000) and Hall et al.
Capparaceae are woody, the inflorescence is racemose, the flowers have a gynophore and often many stamens with long filaments, and the fruit is indehiscent.

 PBIO 450 Lecture Notes - Dilleniidae -- Spring 1999
Previously, Capparaceae and Brassicaceae were allied with the Papaveraceae and Fumariaceae and placed in the order Rhoeadales, a rather meaningless descriptive name.
Whether one accepted Capparaceae with two subfamilies, Capparoideae Burnett and Cleomoideae Burnett, or recognizes two families is a matter of how one wishes to emphasize the nature of the fruit not only in and between the cappars and the mustards, but in the rest of the order Capparales as well.
The bottom line is the orthography Capparaceae is conserved in the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (the first place the spelling was used) and as such must now be followed.

Recent phylogenetic analyses based on chloroplast sequence data indicate Capparaceae are paraphyletic with the monophyletic subfamily Cleomoideae more closely related to Brassicaceae then to subfamily Capparoideae (Capparaceae).
Although this genus is clearly placed outside the Capparaceae and Brassicaceae lineage, the precise relationship of Forchhammeria among other core Brassicales is unresolved.
The goal of this study was to clarify the placement of the tribe Stixeae, especially the genus Forchhammeria, within the core Brassicales by using evidence from DNA sequences of rbcL, ndhF, trnL-trnF and matK.
