As No. 3 is ready to shoot Anders, Caprica No. 6 whacks her on the head with a huge piece of stone, killing her and seizing on the chance for a new beginning.
With Lent beginning Wednesday, my Catholic upbringing just can’t picture Sharon and Caprica No. 6 becoming new Messiahs, if their being released from the garage was supposed to be a symbol of Jesus being released from the tomb after dying on the cross for mankind’s sins.

Caprica sounds like a much more of a down to Earth type of Sci-Fi show, even if it is set on another planet.
From what I've read of "Caprica" it seems to be better suited to network television or pay cable than regular old basic cable and it certainly won't garner much of an audience on Sci Fi.
Caprica was conceived to be BSG on the cheap.

I'd be happy if Caprica was set in the same time as BSG, following the likes of the group of people that Starbuck met when she went back to get the Arrow of Apollo.
For Caprica though, I hope they use the "original" Cylon models they showed in the first episode of the mini-series, and the Vipers from the old show.

So, the Cylons took over the original Caprica so they could hang out by some balconies, drink coffee, and make up silly names like "Caprica Six?" The Cylons are not menacing and not psychologically scary either.

The Trek BBS: Should "Caprica" tech be more futurisitc?
From what I understand is one of the reason the tech is so low-tech in "Battlestar Galatica" is because the people were afraid of the cylons being able to use it against them.
Even Caprica in the mini looked pretty ultra-modern, and they had Serenity flying around and whatnot.
When I think of the "Caprica" look I am thinking something more more along the lines of what you see in near future movies like "Minority Report" or "The Island." Not wierd looking star trek tech but tech that advances off stuff we have today.
