Teius - Caransebes (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-18) |
 | | The charm and the attraction of Caransebes, placed at the confluence of the Sebes and the Timis rivers, has the name of Teius, probably because of the lime trees (in Romanian “tei” means lime tree), which were abundant on the hills of this area. |
 | | The confirmation of this affirmation is also given to us by the German colony in the foothills of Mountain Nemanu, with the name of Lindenfeld (Lime tree field). |
 | | Teius always was a place of recreation for the inhabitants of Caransebes. |
