Card modeling is the art of building scale models of aircraft, buildings, ships and many other real life objects.
Once you have tried this you will be amazed at the quality of the models, they are just as good if not better than most of the plastic or wood models on the market today.

Card model - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Card models, also sometimes called paper models, are models of real-world objects made usually of heavy paper or card stock as a hobby, or sometimes as a craft for children.
Printed card models became common in magazines in the early part of the 20th century.
Home printing also allows models to be scaled up or down easily (for example, in order to make two models from different authors, in different scales, match each other in size), although the paper weight must also be adjusted in the same ratio.

Comp Card Design Tips - ModelCards.com
After the casting session they would leave behind their head shot, or composite card (also called comp cards or zed cards) as a physical reminder of who they are.
The printed comp card really served only as a reminder because the casting director, the agency and the client also had recordered them on video tape.
So in the past the comp card was only a reference card, a reminder of the person they met in person at the casting call.

A few miles southeast of Phoenix, a small company is using the internet to help resurrect the hobby of card modeling, which had sharply declined with the introduction of plastic model kits in the 1950's.
Card model kits once had to be manufactured and shipped like other models, but now they can be downloaded, and then printed on cardstock by your computer.
To build the model, you need a sharp hobby knife for cutting out the pieces, a metal ruler for guiding the knife and helping with the folds, a flat work surface, some white glue, to be applied sparingly with a toothpick or small brush, and a fair amount of patience.

Once the major objects in the model have been established, their behaviour and relation to other objects should be defined.
Even though a model and view should be as decoupled as possible, it is still okay to recognise that seeing a sorted deck on the screen can be a nice effect.

According to the GOMS model, cognitive structure consists of four components: (1) a set of goals, (2) a set of operators, (3) a set of methods for achieving the goals, and (4) a set of selection rules for chosing among competing methods.
In addition, the model can be used to identify and predict the effects of errors on task performance.

I got this media reader for $15, since I had a couple of 1GB SD cards for my digital camera, and I figured it'd be worth it to check it out for that amount, rather than spending $70-80 on a 1GB USB flash drive.
It obviously has to be large enough to accomodate the largest of the aforementioned cards--if it were for only SD cards, they could've easily shortened the length by 25%.
For $15, I think this is a great gadget, especially if you have a number of memory cards that are not required in your digital cameras all day long.
